Mark your calendars for our feature event, Earth Jam. Celebrate our commitment to the environment with sustainable activities, food and live music on Tuesday, April 18 outside of the Idaho Student Union Building (ISUB).
The Student Sustainability Cooperative is a student-led and funded organization designed to empower student efforts to create an active culture of sustainability at University of Idaho. The SSC is committed to creating impactful experiences and fostering connections between students and opportunities to engage in campus sustainability.
About Us the SSC
- The SSC began as a student movement in 2006 that called for a center of sustainability to address the rising concern for local and global climate change. Today, we are a student-led and student-funded organization within the Department of Student Involvement dedicated to engaging campus in sustainable practices and behaviors. We do this through grass-roots initiatives, projects and events that integrate sustainable practices into our daily lives and reduce our environmental footprint.
- We are based on the Moscow campus but many of our programs are available remotely. We are always striving to find new ways to support sustainability efforts for all U of I students. Reach out about remote campus opportunities.
